Description
The Weyes Blood album “Front Row Seat to Earth” is a fusion of folk and futuristic elements, with Natalie Mering’s sublime songs accompanied by arpeggiated piano, acoustic guitar, horns, and electronic sounds. The album explores themes of love, loss and change, with a California folk sound reminiscent of the ’70s, but also incorporating experimental elements. The album is both personal and universal, tackling complex emotions and the ambiguity of relationships in a disharmonic world. It’s a unique blend of live band intimacy and post-modern electronic sheen, that hides its aspirations to the outside world.
