Description
Ramin Djawadi, an Iranian German composer, is the mastermind behind the musical mastery that echoes through the multiple award-winning series Westworld. Djawadi’s impressive versatility is on full display as he effortlessly shifts between aggressive action and intimate drama, creating a stunningly evocative score that perfectly balances the Western and electric elements of the show.
In season 2, Djawadi takes things to another level with his introduction of ‘The Raj’ and ‘Shogunworld’, where he presents new versions of some popular songs. The haunting melody of Paint it, Black by The Rolling Stones, which already featured in the first season, receives a total shakuhachi and taiko drum makeover, fitting for the season’s parallel world and parallel actions.
The impressive covers of Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes), Heart-Shaped Box (Nirvana) and Runaway (Kanye West) showcase the different emotions and beautiful landscapes of the series, each related to the different characters and worlds.
The limited edition of 500 individually numbered smoke coloured vinyl copies of Westworld Season 2 includes an insert with photos and credits. This masterpiece by Djawadi is a must-have for any true music lover or Westworld fanatic.
