Description
In a year of isolation, I’ve pondered mirrors and limiting self-reflection. Examining myself was tough amid time’s toll, anxiety, and boredom. Nostalgic memories offered solace until I found Wednesday’s album “I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone.” It transported me to a bygone era, providing respite. Nostalgia is a valuable yet dangerous tool, requiring honesty. Karly’s opening line in “The Burned Down Dairy Queen” struck a chord, as I avoided introspection. The album became my guiding light, offering a recalibration. The songs lift spirits and inspire revelations. Beyond enjoyment, it reminds us to embrace our many reflections, urging patience and understanding.
