Description

Jean-Luc Godard’s Vivre Sa Vie is a French New Wave masterpiece that follows the tragic descent of Nana, played by Anna Karina, as she struggles to find purpose in Paris. After leaving her husband with dreams of becoming an actress, Nana finds herself unable to break into the film industry. As financial hardship looms, she is drawn into the world of prostitution. Told in 12 strikingly composed episodic scenes, the film offers a poignant and thought-provoking meditation on fate, identity, and society. This Criterion Collection release features a fully restored version of the 1962 classic, bringing Godards visionary storytelling to new generations of cinephiles.
