Description
Celebrate 40 years of Violent Femmes with this vinyl reissue of their cult classic 1993 collection Add It Up (19811993)! A trove of 23 must-haves, this 2LP set includes their biggest hits–like the iconic “Blister in the Sun,” “American Music,” and “Gone Daddy Gone”–rare demos, B-sides, and interstitial voice recordings pressed at Memphis Records Pressing and cut by George Horn at Fantasy Studios. Formed in 1981, Violent Femmes’ unique blend of punk, folk-rock, and teenage angst–plus a 1982 busking show with The Pretenders–quickly earned them a spot among America’s underground. Beloved for their indie spirit and pop hooks, Add It Up documents the band’s remarkable stylistic evolution and energetic live performances!
