Limited edition of 750 numbered copies on silver colored vinyl
Thomas Dolby’s soundtrack work really showcases his musical versatility. He offers a delightful mix of sounds in this project, from atmospheric electronic instrumentals and energetic dance tracks to a charming ’30s pop style with a horn section. Out of the nine tracks, five feature vocals, including two by Dr. Fiorella Terenzi, and Dolby even adds his own singing and rapping talents. ‘The Gate to the Mind’s Eye’ beautifully highlights Dolby’s ongoing creativity. While it’s not quite as quirky as his ‘Wireless’ album, not as introspective as ‘Flat Earth,’ or as wacky as ‘Aliens Ate My Buick,’ it definitely carries his signature style throughout. For the first time, this album is available on vinyl as a special limited edition of just 750 numbered copies on stunning silver-colored vinyl, complete with an insert.
