Description
Stone Temple Pilots Live At Castaic Lake Natural Amphitheater, 7/2/93
This analog LP captures the band at the height of the Core era, a high-energy live set originally filmed for ABCs In Concert. Fans regard this performance as a classic showcase of Scott Weilands powerful vocals and the groups raw, driving chemistry.
Sound and sourcing notes: Across 1993 pressings, many releases are unofficial imports, with sound described as decent to fine, and some speculate the source is a high-quality VHS stereo recording. Official high-quality soundboard highlights from this show, including Plush and Creep, later appeared on the Core 25th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition. This is for true fans and collectors.
Why it matters to collectors: a tangible snapshot of STPs live intensity and the mid-90s alt-rock zeitgeist, ideal for fans who want a visceral, in-person feel of the Core era without flashy studio polish.
