Shigeto – No Better Time Than Now – Blue Black & White Marbled Vinyl Record

Description

Embark on a journey through heritage with Shigeto’s No Better Time Than Now, the follow-up to his acclaimed Lineage mini-LP from 2012. The music of Zach Saginaw, aka Shigeto, is deeply rooted in personal history and captures the essence of his grandmother’s experience in a US internment camp. Through nostalgic melodies, ambient beats, and vocal samples from his grandmother, Shigeto’s debut EPs Semi-Circle and What We Held Onto set the tone for his debut album, Full Circle. Meticulous percussion, obsessive field recording, and a blend of jazz, hip-hop, funk, and folk created a lush and sumptuous instrumental hip-hop sound. Now, with No Better Time Than Now, Shigeto continues to refine his unique sound and take listeners on a musical journey they won’t soon forget.
