Description
The 1999 album Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers was one of the most highly anticipated albums of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ career. The release saw the band reuniting with both producer Rick Rubin and guitarist John Frusciante, both of whom hadn’t been part of the group since their acclaimed Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik album in 1991. As the first output of the regrouping, Californication presents an inventive, melodic, and thought-provoking collection of songs that have become staples in their expansive repertoire.
