Description
One Step Closer believes hardcore is limitless, and on All You Embrace, they put that into practice. The band from Wilkes-Barre explores the overlaps of hardcore, emo, and ’90s alternative rock without pretension. The 11-song album shows the band reaching for honesty and authenticity. vocalist Ryan Savitski states he wanted to showcase the band fully, being true to their sound. Songs like “Blur My Memory’ showcase their melodic hardcore roots, while ‘The Gate’ reveals their expanded sound seen on previous releases. The record is bigger, catchier, and moodier, yet true to OSC. It honors their past while building an open, creative future, similar to records like Start Today and Floral Green. The cover art, a blur of blues and blacks showing guitarist Ross Thompson spinning, reflects the themes of change, grief, and growth. All You Embrace marks a new and exciting chapter for the band.
