Description

Jim Jarmuschs Mystery Train (1989) is a cult favorite that interweaves three distinct stories set in Memphis, Tennessee, all centered around the mysterious Arcade Hotel. A young Japanese couple obsessed with rock ‘n’ roll make a pilgrimage to Elvis Presleys home, an Italian widow experiences a supernatural encounter with the ‘King’ himself, and a group of bumbling criminals find themselves on the run after a botched liquor store heist. Featuring an eclectic cast including Youki Kudoh, Masatoshi Nagase, Nicoletta Braschi, Joe Strummer, Steve Buscemi, and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, this atmospheric film is a love letter to American music and culture. Restored by The Criterion Collection, this Blu-ray edition showcases Jarmuschs unique storytelling in stunning high definition.
