Meg Baird and Mary Lattimore – Ghost Forests [Limited Clear Coke Bottle Color Vinyl Record]

Description

Meg Baird and Mary Lattimore’s music solo, together, and with others could score a small record collection. Ghost Forests makes this dream collaboration a reality. Six original compositions showcase their sympathy and shared influences: harp, guitar, synths, voice, plus a poetic language. These songs tell of light on water, geopolitical anxiety, Don Dudley’s smoggy sunsets, and Baird and Lattimore’s home-moves. Pop, heavy haze, and traditional balladry reimagined tell of their conversations: intimate, effortless, and full of creation’s euphoria; hard truths and tangled emotions expressed in a way only friends can. Ghost Forests delights and rewards deep listening, allowing us to eavesdrop on these two artists’ astonishing outcome.
