Description
Lucy Dacus’ “Historian” is a powerful and confident 10-track album that tackles heavy themes and profound questions head-on. It’s a collection of emotional and raw songs filled with realizations, declarations, and moments of peace. The lyrics are poignant and relatable, making them perfect for personal tattoos and yearbook quotes. Produced by Collin Pastore and mixed by John Congleton, the album features a fuller and more dynamic sound than Dacus’ debut, thanks in part to the contributions of multi-instrumentalist Jacob Blizard. Dacus’ exceptional sense of melody and composition is evident throughout the album, resulting in an immersive and cohesive listening experience that showcases her mastery of her craft and her ability to tell the truth through her music.
