Description
“I’m Your Man” is an album that showcases Leonard Cohen’s expertise in modern musical textures. Using keyboards and propulsive rhythms, Cohen examines the world with precision and fearlessness. The opening track, “First We Take Manhattan,” is a foreboding depiction of the desire for commercial success, intertwined with crypto-fascist imagery. “Everybody Knows” is an exceptional track that cynically lists the various complications that arise in love during the AIDS era.
