Kishi Bashi – Omoiyari – Vinyl Record

Description

Experience the stirring impact of Kishi Bashi’s Omoiyari. This vinyl album reflects on the 120,000 Japanese-Americans forced into prison camps in WWII, channeling the lessons of history into a passionate musical statement on today’s turbulent atmosphere. By visiting former sites and hearing firsthand stories, Kishi Bashi was inspired to write about empathy and understanding. Featuring Mike Savino on banjo and bass and Nick Ogawa on cello, and of course Kishi Bashi’s signature violin soundscapes, Omoiyari packs a powerful punch – a poignant exploration of love, loss, and creating compassion towards others. Get ready to be captivated and moved by this incredible masterpiece.
