Description
Unleashing a relentless sonic assault, Things Viral (2003) sheds its familiar trappings and unleashes a powerful and electrifying force. On their sophomore release, the band sets its own pace, halting the decay of their debut in a startling and gripping stasis. Pitchfork praises, “Khanate’s ability to slow things down and build tension is masterful… Things Viral transcends genres and appeals to a diverse audience with its blend of metal, noise, drone, and art-damage influences from members of Burning Witch, Old, Sunn 0))), and Blind Idiot God. It commands attention without being overwhelming, resolute and unyielding in its power. Brace yourself as it takes control of your mind and brings you on a thrilling journey through the depths, then quietly fades away.”
