Description
Japanese Breakfast’s ‘Soft Sounds From Another Planet’ is not just a space-themed album, but a tangible representation of emotion. Through 12 tracks, Michelle Zauner crafts a unique soundscape that incorporates her diverse influences. Some songs evoke Roy Orbison’s heartfelt ballads, while others could be the perfect backdrop for a drive through the expansive skyways of Blade Runner. Zauner’s dynamic vocals take listeners on a journey through time – one moment nostalgic, the next robotic and futuristic. Her lyrics are raw and personal, elevating ‘Psychopomp’s genre-defying debut to a whole new level. This visionary sophomore album solidifies Japanese Breakfast’s position in the music industry.
