Description
Hindu Love Gods, the self-titled collaboration between Warren Zevon and REM members, blends blues and rock through playful, spontaneous covers. Released in 1990, the album pairs Zevons dry wit with REMs melodic edge, with a notable rendition of Princes Raspberry Beret that cracked the Billboard Hot 100 and helped it gain a cult following for its unpolished, impulsive vibe.
This specific pressing is a 180g black vinyl edition, a faithful press that hasnt seen a vinyl reissue since the original release. The weight and crisp surface contribute to a punchy, resonance-heavy playback that fans crave for this rare, energetically raw record.
Ideal for collectors seeking a documented moment in alternative rock history, or listeners who relish blues-infused rock covers performed with fearless spontaneity. The collaboration’s fusion of Zevons storytelling with REMs post-punk sensibility makes this album a distinctive entry in both artists catalogs and a standout in late-80s/early-90s rock covers.
