Description
Girls Against Boys
Cruise Yourself (Remastered) is reissued as a limited collectible on Suspended Gold color vinyl, limited to 1,000 copies. This remastered edition captures GVSBs second full-length release for Touch and Go Records, originally issued in 1994, and is a must-have for dedicated collectors seeking pristine fidelity paired with a striking presentation.
The album balances aggressive kinetic energy with sly melodic moments, delivering a sound described as a blend of noisy propulsion and catchy vocal hooks wrapped in a brutal, double-bass groove. Expect guitars that ebb and surge, with rhythm-forward drumming driving tracks like Tucked In, Cruise Your, and Kill the Sex Player, while moments such as (l) Dont Got A Place glide into darker textures. The release is noted for its intensity, likened to the ferocity of contemporary peers, yet distinctlyGVSB in its telegraphic, nocturnal mood.
Why this edition matters: the remaster sharpens detail and dynamics, and the suspended gold pressing adds a tactile, collectible edge to a discography era-defining for its unflinching, unorthodox approach to post-punk/noise rock. If you crave a deeper, more immediate listening experience from this pivotal record, this version deliversdistinct, vibrant, and ready to spin.
