Description

Directed by legendary filmmaker Orson Welles, F for Fake is a captivating exploration of deception, forgery, and the nature of truth in art. Blurring the lines between fact and fiction, Welles weaves together the intriguing tales of art forger Elmyr de Hory, who claims that many prestigious art collections house his fakes, and writer Clifford Irving, infamous for his fabricated autobiography of Howard Hughes. Through dazzling editing and Welles’ own reflections, the film challenges audiences to question what is real and what is illusion in the world of art and beyond.
