Description
Limited edition Peach-colored vinyl captures Elliott Smiths 1994 debut, Roman Candle, a beloved favorite that offers a heartfelt glimpse into his unique indie style. Filled with classics like Condor Ave, Last Call, and the haunting title track, it beautifully showcases his emotional depth and lyrical skill. More raw and unfiltered than his later albums, Roman Candle hints at the rich harmonies and layered arrangements that would come later. From the start, the albums essence is clear: whispered vocals full of tender, bruised beauty, intricate fingerpicking, and a gentle, aching sense of isolation. As a cornerstone release, Roman Candle is both a touching beginning and a lovely sign of the great things yet to come.
