Drab Majesty’s 2015 debut Careless and its follow-up The Demonstration solidified their place among the top dark synth-pop artists. With Modern Mirror, the duo showcases their most ambitious album yet, taking inspiration from Ovid’s “Narcissus” to explore the effects of technology on our sense of self. Fusing elements of new wave with themes of Greek mythology and science fiction, the album presents a dreamy and captivating narrative.
