Description
Baby, the second studio album by Dijo via R&R/Warner Records and draws inspiration from his experience as a new father, blending themes of domestic chaos, intimacy, and raw vulnerability. Built with longtime collaborators like Mk.gee and Andrew Sarlo, the record pushes his sound further into experimental territory, fusing R&B, soul, and pop with glitchy electronics, chopped instrumentation, and immersive layers of reverb. Despite its fragmented, feverish construction, Baby remains deeply soulful and accessible, with highlights like Yamaha and Kindalove balancing urgency with warmth. Widely praised by critics, including a 9.0 from Pitchfork, the album confirms Dijon as one of the most inventive voices shaping the future of R&B.
