Description
Deerhunter’s eighth LP is a bold and unconventional statement on contemporary music and culture. The album is concerned with the disappearance of culture, humanity, nature, logic, and emotion in an era where attention spans have been reduced to next to nothing, and music has been reduced to algorithms and projected playlist placement. Rather than succumbing to nostalgia, Deerhunter reinvents their approach to microphones, the drum kit, the harpsichord, and keyboards to create a thrilling, haunting, and unpredictable listening experience. The album is a science fiction reflection on the present, offering a unique and relevant perspective on the state of popular music today.
