Neo-soul pioneerD’Angelo returns after an incredibly long hiatus with The Vanguard in tow with ‘Black Messiah.’ Persuaded to return to performing by Questlove, ‘Black Messiah’ brings on something far from ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘Voodoo’ but that’s not a bad thing. It’s unique and shows that as performers continue to reflect on their past work that they can provide something that brings on a new sounds while still catering to fans.
We’re saddened by D’Angelo’s untimely passing and will have more stock available beginning on October 17.
