Description
Current Joys’ seventh album Voyager marks a bold departure from Rattigan’s lo-fi origins, pairing his signature raw vocals and introspective songwriting with orchestral arrangements and full-band production at Stinson Beach Studios. Inspired by the visual storytelling of Hitchcock, Malick, Varda, and Tarkovsky, the sixteen-track journey weaves cinematic grandeur with deeply personal exploration of identity and emotion. Rattigan’s instinctive creative processdriven by premonition and immediate feeling rather than calculationcreates an album that feels both expansive and intimate, capturing the multifaceted intensity of a singular artistic vision. This is Current Joys reimagined: ambitious, orchestrated, and utterly uncompromising.
