Description
Black Prairie’s third album proves the members have embraced the band as a primary creative focus, no longer just a side-project of the Decemberists. Music critics have described Black Prairie’s sound as “the musical spirit that emanated from Big Pink in the late ’60s” (Washington Post), and “homespun tales with sinister sub-plots” (Uncut). But Fortune pushes the envelope further, as these Oregon-based musicians have crafted a rock record that is bold, intricate, and sometimes edgy.
