Keith Sweat discovered this female trio (Athena Cage, Lavonn Battle, and Tabitha Duncan) from Atlanta, but Kut Klose had a lot more going for them than just being the protgs of a superstar. 1995s Surrender (their lone album) has become a real cult classic (or Kult Klassik, if you will), no doubt in part because songs like Get Up on It and Sexual Baby are just plain steamy. But the production is tight, too, with the H.O.P. Productions team, Eric McCaine, and Fitzgerald Scott joining Sweat in laying down the sultry grooves. I Like was the hit, but the whole record just has that lets stay in for the night vibe. Never released on vinyl in the U.S., Surrender comes in a light blue pressing remastered for vinyl complete with a printed inner sleeve. Long desired by R&B collectors!
