Description
“Scream (1996), directed by Wes Craven, revitalized the horror genre with its unique blend of slasher elements and self-aware humor. Written by Kevin Williamson, the film follows Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, as she becomes the target of a masked killer, Ghostface, who stalks and murders teenagers in the fictional town of Woodsboro. The film cleverly subverts horror clichs, with characters who are aware of slasher film “rules” but still fall victim to the killers gruesome games.
