Description

Martin Scorseses *After Hours* (1985) is a darkly comic thriller that plunges an ordinary man into an extraordinary night of misadventures. Griffin Dunne stars as Paul Hackett, a word processor who, after a chance encounter with the enigmatic Marcy Franklin (Rosanna Arquette), finds himself trapped in a surreal and increasingly nightmarish New York City odyssey. Losing his taxi fare is just the beginning of his troubles as he crosses paths with burglars, punks, a mysterious waitress, and a relentless mob, all while desperately trying to make it home. With Scorseses signature kinetic energy, razor-sharp dialogue, and a stellar supporting cast including John Heard, Linda Fiorentino, and Catherine O’Hara, *After Hours* is an electrifying blend of comedy, suspense, and urban paranoia.

This Criterion Collection release presents *After Hours* in a stunning restored edition, packed with exclusive special features, including in-depth commentary and behind-the-scenes featurettes that explore the films distinctive style and production.
