C418 – Minecraft Volume Beta – Red, Orange, & Yellow Splatter Color Vinyl Record

Description

Composer and producer Daniel Rosenfeld beautifully crafts sounds that connect both the physical and digital worlds. Widely loved for his original soundtracks to Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time, he has spent the last decade creating a diverse collection of instrumental music. His work spans electronic pop, dreamy neo-classical pieces, and calming ambient sounds. His ambient tracks have moved beyond the typical “8-bit” style of game music, earning praise and comparisons to artists like Erik Satie (The Guardian) and Brian Eno (VICE). In 2015, after quietly releasing Minecraft Volume Alpha and Beta on his own, Rosenfeld teamed up with Ghostly International to reissue these albums on vinyl and CD. The releases received warm welcomes from critics and gamers alike, quickly becoming some of the most popular records in Ghostly’s catalog. Due to high demand, several restocks of Alpha followed, and in 2020, the second volume was officially pressed for the first time. Originally released in 2013, it features tracks that were gradually added to Minecraft during its music updatessome that never officially made it into the game. Throughout Volume Beta, Rosenfeld’s unique talent shines through, as he offers a rich mix of musical ideas that reflect Minecrafts endless universe.
