Mitski recorded Laurel Hell with her longtime producer Patrick Hyland during the isolating period of a global pandemic. This time subtly shifted the meanings of some songs, like seeds blooming into flowers. Sometimes, its hard to notice our own changes, but for others, Mitski provides a beautiful soundtrack for transformation.
