Grant-Lee Phillips – Little Moon – Burgundy Color Vinyl Record

Description

With his warm voice and poetic touch, Grant-Lee Phillips delivers another remarkable milestone in a career full of wonderful achievements. Little Moon showcases a collection of timeless American music where rock and folk blend seamlessly under strings that add a cinematic feel, truly celebrating the art of classic tunes. His rich melody vault shines brightly here, with even the most tender piano ballad, like ‘Older Now,’ rooted in a solid, powerful foundation. As one of Los Angeles’ most beloved songwriters, Grant-Lee brings heartfelt inspiration to Little Moon, drawing from joyful moments like the birth of his daughter Violet (‘Violet’) and a peaceful creative flow that naturally grew from live sessions with drummer Jay Bellerose, bassist and producer Paul Bryan, and keyboardist Jamie Edwards. Recorded live in the studio with just a few overdubs, the album captures the bright, sunny vibe of the songs and the effortless groove of a well-rehearsed band playing with care and skill. When it was released in 2009, American Songwriter called Little Moon “His strongest album ever.” This special limited edition features burgundy-colored vinyl and is numbered to only 1,000 copies worldwide.
