Description
Today, Hatchie, the wonderful project of Australian singer-songwriter Harriette Pilbeam, happily announces her new album, Liquorice, which will be released on November 7 via Secretly Canadian. With the talented producer Melina Duterte (also known as Jay Som) working alongside her, Hatchie brings out something more genuine, uninhibited, and truly herself. Just like the rich and layered flavors of the twisty, namesake candysweet, salty, and bitter all at onceLiquorice beautifully captures how longing and obsession are beautifully woven into the journey of discovering herself as a young woman.
Hatchie says, This album feels like the culmination of everything Ive wanted to do with this project since I first started it. I focused on the finer details of the trajectory of love found and lost, inspired by my favourite tragic romance films. Ive never felt more aligned with an album and cant wait to share the experience with everyone.
