Description
Resisting any notion of a sophomore slump and dismissing the “revivalist soul” label, Alabama Shakes made a spectacular comeback in 2015 with ‘Sound & Color’. Filled with moody vibes, rich textures, atmospheric grooves, and confident performances, this album beautifully blends blues, psychedelia, R&B, and garage rock, all while showcasing the incredible talent of powerhouse singer Brittany Howard.
The record not only topped the Billboard 200 chart but also proudly earned four Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, and honors for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Don’t Wanna Fight’. Building on the soulful blues-rock foundation that first brought them recognition, they push boundaries to create a fresh, exciting, and innovative sound. The twelve tracks on the album reveal a band that’s been refined through years of touring and inspired by a diverse mix of influences.
This Deluxe Edition colored vinyl 2LP reissue is a treasure trove with seven bonus tracks featuring unreleased studio recordings, B-sides, and live performances recorded at the legendary Capitol Records Studio A. It also includes updated artwork and new photographs, making it a true must-have for fans.
