Kim Gordon – PLAY ME – White Color Vinyl Record

Description

Kim Gordon’s third album, ‘PLAY ME,’ feels fresh and direct, expanding her sound with more melodic beats and the rhythmic drive of krautrock. We wanted the songs to be short, Gordon shares. We wanted to do it really fast. Its more focused, and maybe more confident.” Following her 2024 Grammy-nominated album ‘The Collective,’ produced by Justin Raisen, this album thoughtfully explores the fallout from the billionaire classdemocracys dismantling, technocratic fascism, and the AI-driven flattening of culturewhere dark humor highlights the absurdity of modern life. While it often looks outward, ‘PLAY ME’ is truly an inward journey, brimming with emotional intensity and energetic grooves. It resists easy conclusions, instead embracing curiosity and Gordons ongoing search for understanding.
