Description
Choir Boy’s Passive With Desire is the moody, synth-forward debut from Adam Klopp under the Choir Boy banner. Drawing on nostalgic 1980s synth noir and cinematic storytelling, the album threads pensive sorrow with glowing hope. Since Klopp’s recording debut as Choir Boy in 2016, these songs have sharpened into lush, emotive anthems. Recorded at Studio Studio Dada, the tracks began as bedroom sketches and bloomed into a full-band sound with trumpet, strings, and archival samples that echo Klopps dual life of faith and fiction. Engineered by Klopp, Bret Meisenbach, and Stephen Cope, Passive With Desire pairs intimate lyricism with vivid electronic-pop textures.
