Description
Recorded live in front of a feverish audience at The National Ballroom in Kilburn, London on Octorber 23, 1986 just six months before the band’s demise and released a year after, Rank is most likely the closest many Smiths’ fans will ever come to hearing them in concert. Engineered and produced by Grant Showbiz, the thrilling 14-song set finds Morrissey, Marr and company in rock star mode at their absolute creative peak tearing through definitive live versions of Smiths’ classics like “Panic,” “Ask,” “Cemetry Gates,” “I Know It’s Over” and “Bigmouth Strikes Again.” An essential and rewarding live document from the best band of the ’80s!
