Bonny Light Horseman – Rolling Golden Holy – Galaxy Blue Color Vinyl Record

Description

By 2018, Anas Mitchell, Josh Kaufman, and Eric D. Johnson had already lived out their dreams as Bonny Light Horseman. Mitchell’s impressive catalogue of folk albums preceded her successful musical, Hadestown, on Broadway. As a producer and multi-instrumentalist, Kaufman had worked with legends and contemporaries such as Bob Weir and The National to The War on Drugs and Josh Ritter. Johnson had penned intricate indie pop for 25 years as Fruit Bats.

Rolling Golden Holy rebuffs thoughts that Bonny Light Horseman is just a fleeting supergroup or a one-time side project. The trio’s 11 original compositions embrace traditional tunes, yet carry them to modern musical and lyrical heights. Rich with preternatural beauty, charm, and imagination, Rolling Golden Holy solidifies that Bonny Light Horseman is an ever-shifting, current band at the core of American folk.
