Description
When The Coral first appeared in 2001 with Shadows Fall, the British press applauded them as the answer to The Strokes. NME declared The Coral the top new band in England. Their fiery originality reverberated, culminating in their 2002 self-titled debut. Praise and nautical mentions gushed in; they even earned a Mercury Music Prize nod a day after the album dropped. Exuberant, impish and youthful, The Corals tunes were oddly cohesive despite each one’s curious originality. The psychedelic vibe doesn’t veil the solid pop core, or obscure the talents of their young members. This is an engaging, unforgettable record now on vinyl for the first time since 2002!
