MC5’s first album, Kick Out the Jams, is an explosive and memorable release from Elektra Records. Recorded at the legendary Grande Ballroom in Detroit on the nights of Devil’s Night and Halloween, 1968, the record is an electrifying introduction to the American proto-punk band.
The LP peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard 200 chart, with the title track peaking at No. 82 in the Hot 100.
