Description
Okkervil River’s Black Sheep Boy – Vinyl Record is their most adventurous and diverse album yet. Drawing on influences like Leonard Cohen, Scott Walker, Neil Young, and Big Star, it delivers a mix of pop, rock, country, and folk. With added elements like children’s keyboards and manipulated field recordings, the band pushes the boundaries and creates a truly unique sound. Written while on tour, the songs were perfected in a hot, un-air-conditioned shed before recording with producer Brian Beattie. Don’t miss out on this dynamic and playful record!
