Description
On their sixth album, The Breaks, SUUNS is once again pushing the boundaries of their sound. With a fierce determination, Ben Shemie, Joseph Yarmush, and Liam O’ Neill have fully embraced their pop sensibilities while also exploring a more experimental sonic landscape. Through loops, synths, samples, and MIDI instruments, SUUNS showcases their post-millennial Tangerine Dream influence, weaving downtempo triphop beats into their signature sound. Despite facing countless challenges on the road, The Breaks is a testament to the band’s perseverance and willingness to take risks. From quiet moments of intimacy on tracks like “Doreen” to the vast expanses of the album’s title track, SUUNS delivers a truly panoramic listening experience. It’s an exhilarating journey that captures the essence of being lost and found, always moving forward with unbridled enthusiasm. And let us tell you, it’s a ride that never stops spinning!
