Description
Front man Austin Getz is asked to sum up Turnover’s third full-length, Good Nature, and responds with a simple answer: “Learning.” The album is all about growth, opening one’s mind to new experiences, stepping out of comfort zones, and evolving into new versions of oneself. The seamless flow of the album, from the relaxed “Super Natural” to the more dynamic “Nightlight Girl” and “Breeze,” is enhanced by the band’s appreciation for full-length albums of the past, drawing influence from bossa nova, cool jazz, electronic music, and psychedelic sounds. Working with producer Will Yip, known for his work on Peripheral Vision, Turnover has created their strongest album yet, filled with a sense of peace and contentment born from introspection and self-discovery.
