Cassandra Jenkins – My Light, My Destroyer – Pink Clear Wave Color Vinyl Record

Description

Cassandra Jenkins is unequivocally one of the most captivating songwriter-storytellers in the current music scene. She belongs to a distinct and extraordinary community of Great American Songwriters, such as David Berman, Adrianne Lenker, Jeff Tweedy, and Sufjan Stevens. They are united by a sense of urgency, not only in their writing – which is precise, evocative, at times brutal, and brilliantly humorous – but also in their delivery, singing with an engrossing and unwavering belief that carries listeners through their songs. These are the artists and songs that take hold of us and never let go, and on My Light, My Destroyer, Jenkins solidifies her place among them. What sets My Light, My Destroyer apart is its ability to capture an artist at a thrilling point in her development.
