Gram Parsons – Grievous Angel – Vinyl Record 180g

Description

The 180g vinyl record ‘Grievous Angel’ showcases the same talented band that accompanied Gram Parsons on his solo debut. Together, they deliver flawless and powerful performances, with standout musicians like guitarist James Burton and fiddler Byron Berline. Parsons’ songwriting continues to shine, with treasures like ‘Brass Buttons’ and ‘Hickory Wind’. He also showcases his ability to choose and interpret other artists’ songs, such as Tom T Hall’s ‘I Can’t Dance’ and the Louvin Brothers’ ‘Cash on the Barrelhead’. And the vocal duet with Emmylou Harris only adds to the magic of this album, particularly their captivating rendition of ‘Love Hurts’. This exquisite record will make you forget that anyone else has ever recorded these songs, not even Roy Orbison.
