Description
Enthusiastically constructed with a light-hearted travel theme, ‘Come Fly With Me’ marked Frank Sinatra’s exciting collaboration with arranger Billy May. A lively departure from the melancholic ‘Where Are You’, this album is overflowing with playful charm. The opening track, the swinging ‘Come Fly With Me’ by Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, was specially written at Sinatra’s behest, setting the tone for a joyous journey through the album. From classic standards like ‘Moonlight in Vermont’ and ‘April in Paris’ to comical numbers such as ‘Isle of Capri’ and ‘On the Road to Mandalay’, Sinatra and May take listeners on a delightful musical trip around the world.
