Description
MCA rejected this album, labeling it as ‘immoral’ and ‘anti-parent,’ but Black Flag proved them wrong with their intense L.A. hardcore punk sound, driven by Greg Ginn’s aggressive guitar and Henry Rollins’ enraged vocals. Songs like ‘TV Party’ and ‘Rise Above’ are classics that capture the rebellious spirit of the band, with lyrics like ‘We are tired of your abuse/Try to stop us but it’s no use’ still resonating with listeners today. Damaged continues to be a favorite among punks and a thorn in the side of parents.
