MF DOOM – MM..FOOD (20th Anniversary Edition) – Sweet Tart Color Vinyl Record

Description

Originally released in 2004, MF DOOM’s MM..FOOD has become a timeless hip-hop masterpiece, filled with innovative beats, clever lyrics, and thought-provoking themes. Infused with humor and social commentary, the album transports listeners to a surreal world of food references, brilliantly satirizing a life plagued by vices, violence, and envy. With plenty of room to delve into his subjects, DOOM weaves complex ideas into deceptively simple narratives throughout the album. The opening track, “Beef Rapp,” serves as a cautionary tale against glorifying conflict, while “Hoe Cakes” uses the title dish as a symbol of indulgence and excess. Meanwhile, “One Beer,” produced by Madlib, delves into escapism and ego, and the popular “Rapp Snitch Knishes” critiques the contradictory behaviors of some rappers. This 20th Anniversary Edition features stunning new artwork by Sam Rodriguez and is pressed on double vinyl.
