Description
Cigarettes After Sex – Cigarettes After Sex is a self-titled vinyl that delivers a cinematic, romance-soaked dream pop experience. Built around Greg Gonzalezs velvety vocals, the album expands the breakout moment Nothings Gonna Hurt You Baby from the bands debut EP into a cohesive, mood-sustaining set that feels immersive and transportive. Influenced by Mazzy Star and Red House Painters, the songs unfold with lush guitar textures, hushed harmonies, and a moody, cinematic sweep. Gonzalez is joined by Phillip Tubbs on keys, Randy Miller on bass, and Jacob Tomsky on drums, all weaving a tapestry of intimate, impressionistic romances. Tracks like K and Each Time You Fall in Love carry a Twin Peaks-esque suspense, while Sunsetz and Sweet paint ethereal snapshots of longing, anchored by Gonzalezs velvety voice. Ideal for late-night listening, reflective moments, and collectors seeking a quintessential indie dream-pop capsule on vinyl.
